Our healthcare faculty

Marion Clark is a registered nurse with extensive health sector experience, including clinical, hospital management, public policy development and management, regulation, governance and international development roles.  She has particular expertise in health workforce development with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 and health professional regulation both in New Zealand and internationally. 

Marion has extensive management and public policy experience in New Zealand and Australia and can work effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve effective and workable solutions to identified issues. She has worked in senior public policy roles in Department/Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, New Zealand; Australian Health Ministers Council and Queensland Health in Australia and with health officials in the Pacific and South East Asia.

Lisa is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Educator. She spent nine years in the United Kingdom working as a Director of Studies at Anglia Ruskin University and Head of Department for Learning Disabilities and Mental Health at Homerton College, Cambridge. She has also held a Senior Lecturer’s role at Flinders University, Adelaide and been the Academic Manager for Nursing and Human Services at Ara Institute of Canterbury, responsible for one of the largest nursing departments in the country.

Lisa has also been an auditor and programme approval panelist for the Nursing Midwifery Council UK and an external monitor for health programmes for the Open University UK.  She was a nursing programme approval panelist for Nursing Council NZ and continues to be a recertification auditor for nurses practicing certificates.

Lisa also worked as external panel member for NZQA in the monitoring of Level 7 health programmes for private training organisations in New Zealand.
